1. The double axle flatbed container trailer can load maximum 40ft container, length limited 13m. Only the tri-axle flatbed container trailer can load over-sized container, including 45ft and 48ft container.
2. The prime mover used for the trailer should be specifically indicated as “mover for flatbed container trailer“, otherwise, the mover can not be set on duty. The trailer should also be indicated as “trailer for container transportation”.
3. The kingpin height should be no more than 1.32m, from the ground level to kingpin location. The the flatbed trailer is empty, the kingpin height should not be more than 14m. There is no specified height limit for chassis where the kingpin is fixed. For container less than 30ft, the flatbed should be on the same horizontal level, and the height of kingpin should be no more than 90mm higher than the flatbed level. For 40ft container and over 40ft container, the flatbed level the same as well, kingpin height no more than 90 higher too.
4. For air suspension flatbed container trailer, there should be specified indication on the suspension for the ground clearance when loaded and unloaded.
